Are your favorite websites suddenly looking too big? Maybe there is no padding on the sides or the edges are slightly cut off? I first noticed this happening on Twitter's new page. I never thought much about it and figured it was just the way the webpages were designed.
Then suddenly my own website was out of skew, in particularly in Chrome. I knew that wasn't how the site was so supposed to look, so I did a little checking. It seems to have something to do with responsive websites that re-size themselves depending on the devise you're reading on.
Try holding the control button (bottom left key) and pushing the zero at the same time (ctrlØ) and see if that fixes the resolution for you. It worked for me and now all my favorite responsive websites look normal again.
Happy Surfing!
