Did you know it's Eat Local Week? September 6 – September 13 the Eat Local challenge is simply to eat as local as you can. To celebrate Eat Local, there are all kinds of fun activities going on at various locations around the state of Utah.
Quickle Quick Pickle Event (Salt Lake City)
For example, today September 9, at Pioneer Park, from  5pm to 7pm you can make a quick batch of pickles that will taste like summer in a jar! Volunteers will help you make your creation at our booth after you've chosen your ingredients from the market. Jars and supplies provided.
Iron Chef Cooking Competition (Moab)
Or, on September 11, at Swanny park in Moab, there will be a good old fashioned IRON CHEF COOKING COMPETITION. Local chefs will cook it out to see who can create the most delicious locally-sourced meal! How fun!
Fine Art & Food Event (Salt Lake City)
Also on Saturday September 11, in downtown Salt Lake City, Wasatch Cooperative Market is creating an evening filled with local food to slowly savor, acoustic music, and fine epicurean art to purchase. A portion of the proceed will go towards the Wasatch Cooperative Market.
