We had the opportunity to attend a Night At The Museum at Discovery Gateway Children's Museum. My kids had such a fun time and have always loved going to this museum. I love that no matter the age, there is something for everyone.
We were able to take part in an educational class where we sang a song, read a book and made Haunted Houses. My kids enjoyed designing their own Haunted Houses and making little peg witches, mummies and ghosts. We have had an annual pass to the Discovery Gateway Museum before and have always enjoyed educational classes like this one. They offer various classes each month, which are FREE with paid admission.
The Discovery Gateway Children's Museum is always adding new exhibits and updates. We were thrilled to visit some of them and learn of some yet to come. If you have not visited recently you will want to check out the Primary Children's Hospital exhibit on the Terrace where you can put your rescue skill to the test as a pilot or paramedic.
They have also added a new Sensory Room designed for children with autism, this is one of only two in the country! It's a great play area for everyone, but gives those with special needs a great way to explore their senses.
We were also excited to hear that thanks to Harmon's Grocery, the grocery store play area will be completely remodeled. There will also be a work trailer added to the constriction play area. Watch for these updates to happen sometime next year.
Coming May 16 – August 23, 2015 is a Super Kids Save the World traveling exhibit. Designed with “green” materials and practices, this super exhibit gives kids real super hero training starting with the four Rs:Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle!
