Anyway, this Kalorik Electronic Bamboo Kitchen Scale looks pretty useful. It's on 1Sale.com today for $22.99, ships free.
It's 9 in. L x 5 in. W x 0.875 in. H ( 1 lbs. ) and the display actually slides under the board when not in use. It's water and scratch resistant, the unit function enables you to add weight to items already on the scale and measure them individually–such as adding chocolate chips to already measured batter.
