When out and about I hear a lot of people say they use coupons for restaurants and entertainment in their day to day life but not so much for grocery.
Now I'm not an “extreme couponer” by any means. I buy groceries all the time without coupons and I don't really stockpile much but, with just a little planning and paying attention to our daily posts you can save 100's of dollars on your grocery bill total. How much time you spend is up to you. Be a casual clipper like me or go crazy. It really is easy.
First off, it's important to understand the sale. At Smith's currently when you purchase 5 select items, you immediately get $5 off your total. You must buy in quantities of 5 BUT you can mix and match. If you are new at this, you might want to read through this post here for help on understanding how the Mega sales work.
Here's what I bought this morning and what I clipped. A couple of the coupons I used are no longer available, but they were all posted to the site in the last few days so hopefully you printed them. For this trip I bought 15 participating Mega Event items. Just doing that saved me an instant $15.00 without breaking out any coupons.
