UPDATE: This restaurant has closed.
The Charcoal Room is expensive. An average plate is around $30 bucks and it is worth it, very good and spectacular view. When we went we were surprised to find an alternative. There are 2 sides to The Charcoal Room and you can use the certificate on the other side at The Sky Bar. Same great view same wonderful chefs. But….
Tuesday through Saturday from 4:30 to 7:30 they have $1.99 appetizers. What's on the $1.99 menu?
- Salad
- Soup
- Sauteed Mushrooms
- Spinach Dip
- Chisp & Salsa
- Deep Fried Ravioli's
- Pot Stickers
- Hot Wings
- Quesadilla
For just a little more you can get Calamari, Fried Shrimp, Beef & Chicken Sliders, Wraps and more!
Take a look at what we got for our $12 bucks ($25 worth of food). 2 Salads, Chicken Wings, Sauteed Mushrooms, Potstickers, Calamari & Fried Shrimp and one drink to share. We were stuffed! It was kind of funny seeing all that food on the table for 2 people! That's less than you would pay for KFC and you get the view too! 🙂
You can print this one from home and not have to wait for shipping. Use it this weekend and hit The Gateway for a movie, have ice cream at Ben & Jerry's for dessert. It's a great date night.
**If I had one bad thing to say about the Sky Bar…Water, It's $2.50, YIKES!!
Enjoy!
Just a reminder. Before you stock up on 1 favorite restaurant. Make sure you read the terms of the certificate and familiarize yourself with City Deals return policy. Sales are final after 30 days.

One the Charcoal room is really good. I tried my first kobe beef steak there. It was a good experience.
Second. City deals use to be the main game in town for deals. Now there are almost 10 daily deal sites in Utah. They have more competition then they use to. That’s why I think you are seeing more flash sales from them.

April 12, 2011 at 3:23 pmThey are going national. As a result, I think their workforce is spread a little thin. I know they have been under going a lot of changes. But, at least they have a variety of things to choose from. Instead of having to wait for a daily deal that may or may not come along.
