The best part about summer? BBQ's and family!
The second best part Vacations!
Here's a few FREE websites I have enjoyed rummaging through as I have been getting ready for, or at least dreaming of some summer fun.
- VoyagePrive.com – This is a travel site that offers sales on luxury travel destinations. You have to join (don't worry it's FREE) and then you choose a destination and they let you know when it's on sale. It's very cool if you want to dream about a really special vacation.
- DunhillTravel.com – Similar to VoyagePrive except that you sign up for email alerts on travel deals and the vacations are a little less “la de da”. I signed up for this email last month and haven't noticed any unwanted email.
- TravelGuideFree.com – This seems to be new website that's adding destinations everyday. Search the site for your destination and request travel brochures sent to you by mail or email. I received a beautiful full color brochure for Southern Utah in about a week.
- AAA.com – We've been members of Triple A for years. They have wonderful travel brochures and maps that are FREE to members. You just stop by and pick them up. They also have a full service travel agency. And, don't forget FREE key making, towing and flat tire repair and discounted insurance rates. We found AAA invaluable when our 2 kids had a mechanical break down near Grand Junction CO while returning from visiting relatives in Denver. AAA towed them to a safe location where they could await our arrival. There are 4 AAA locations along the Wasatch Front. Membership starts at $54.00 per year. ($4.50 per mo.)
- TripAdviser.com – A FREE website that has a full reviews of almost any hotel, cruise ship and Bed & Breakfast around the world. We always check the rating of a hotel with Trip Adviser before be book.
- Remember there is a BOGO special on KOA campgrounds May 14th and 15th
- And lastly don't forget to design your own FREE personalized luggage tags from from KLM. Mine came in the mail yesterday which is what prompted this post. It took about 4 weeks and they are fun, I put a picture on them of my Hubby and I doing our very rare, but favorite vacation activity, scuba diving. They are a little flimsy though, you will want to put them in some kind of holder.
