Scarecrow Walk (Kaysville) – Sep 8-18 at USU Botanical Center. Â Displays of scarecrows hidden along the paths. This is a free event.
Harvest Moon Viewing Party (Salt Lake) – Sep 8 from 8-10 pm at The Gateway. There will be several viewing scopes on hand and powerful binoculars to look at the moon in all its beautiful detail. Plus, take part in fun moon games, trivia, prizes and more.
Military Appreciation Day (Snowbird) – Sep 9, 16, 23 & 30 from 12-5 pm at Snowbird. Free Peruvian Chairlift rides with military ID for active and retired military and immediate family.
Sugar House Art Walk (Salt Lake) – Sep 9 from 6-9 pm at various locations. See map
Springville Art Festival – Sep 9-10 at Civic Center Park. Fine art booths, art activities, live entertainment, chalk art and more.
Brigham City Peach Days – Sep 9-10; parades, carnivals, car show, vendors and more.
Heritage Days (Ivins) – Sep 9-10; food trucks, games, parade, pony rides, entertainment and more.
Greek Festival (Salt Lake) – Sep 9-11 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Admission is $3; children 5 and under free.
Sandy Healing Field – Sep 9-12 at Sandy City Hall. Flag display honoring 9/11.
VegFest (Salt Lake) – Sep 10 from 12-8 pm at Library Square. Features vegan food, vendors, artists, kids are and more. Free event.
Sandy Heritage Festival & Horse Parade – Sep 10 from 10 am – 2 pm at Main Street Park. Enjoy food trucks, activities, and entertainment.
Hispanic Heritage Parade & Festival (Salt Lake) – Sep 10 from 11 am -8 pm at The Gateway. This free event will feature a parade, food vendors, live music, and other family-friendly entertainment.
Avenues Street Fair (Salt Lake) – Sep 10 from 9 am – 6 pm on 2nd Avenue between F and L Streets. Children's parade, free pancake breakfast and more.
Tomato Sandwich Party (Salt Lake) – Sep 10 from 11 am – 2 pm at Wasatch Community Gardens. Enjoy a free tomato pesto sandwich, self guided tours, and live music.
Mooncake Festival (Salt Lake) – Sep 10 from 5-9 pm at Sugar House Park. Free mooncake, play dragon dance, and music.
Harvest Moon Hurrah (Spanish Fork) – Sep 10 from 3-8 pm at City Park. Crafts, activities, entertainment and more.
Brazilian Festival (Orem) – Sep 10 from 12-7 pm at University Place. Samba parade, food, music and more.
Snowbird Oktoberfest Oktoberfest at Snowbird is a family-friendly affair with activities, food, and, of course, brews for days — weeks actually. The highly-anticipated festival begins late-August and lasts through mid-October, taking place every Saturday and Sunday, along with Labor Day.
MOA Family Workshops (Provo) – On any one Saturday of their choice families can take a guided tour of a current exhibition and create a fun, hands-on art project, free of charge
