Update (11/23) Trooper Ellsworth has passed away. Our deepest sympathy and prayers to Janica, her sweet family and all of the families affected. We'll keep this post pinned to the top of our page for rest of online holiday shopping season so you can refer back to it.
How you can Help:
My heart is aching for this family. Many of you may have heard that Officer Eric Ellsworth was hit by a car Friday (11/18) night near Brigham City. His wife Janica is a fellow deal blogger and my friend. I know that many of you are followers of UtahDealDiva.com as well. Janica finds and shares many online deals and is a cut above the rest at spotting them on Amazon.
In the same way that we've shared with you about how we make money from commission based affiliate marketing, this is also how Janica makes additional money so her family can afford the little luxuries so she can remain at home caring for her children while her husband works to serve and to protect us.
If you are shopping online this holiday, consider visiting the UtahDealDiva.com webiste first and making your purchase by clicking through one of her posted links. Doing so will cost you no additional money, but the family will receive a small commision from your purchase. It's that easy.
I combed through her website and here's some recent bargains using affiliate linking that you can use, note that YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PURCHASE THE SPECIFIC ITEM SHOWN ON THE POST PAGE for your purchase to help. Any items that are on your shopping list will make a difference.

Monetary donations for the Ellsworth family can also be made at America First Credit Union. And a reminder to please keep safe on the road this holiday season and to always slow down and give a Highway Trooper plenty of room when you see them.
If you found this post helpful please feel free to share it. If you are new to the website consider visiting our home page. We've posted several online bargains that might give you ideas on what to purchase.
Best Wishes and the safest of Holidays

November 28, 2016 at 3:02 pmYes, her site is down due to data overage, which is actually a good thing. It means there’s been unexpected high amount of traffic. She’s the only one that can fix it though. I believe she’s monitoring it, so hopefully she’ll get it back up soon.

November 27, 2016 at 5:44 amI shared the utahdealdiva post and someone commented wanting to know how we know that when we go through the link that the purchase linked to her account? Is there ac way to know?

November 27, 2016 at 11:37 amHi Rachel, Yes, it’s easy to tell. Each of the links above in my post takes you directly to a specific posting that Janica made on the Utah Deal Diva website. You will land on her website that she is in control of. So for example, if you click on the Amazon link, you will be directed to a post Janica made on Utah Deal Diva about LEGO’s on sale at Amazon.
While I’m not able to give specifics, I can say that you don’t have to purchase the LEGO’s. Anything you purchase when clicking through the Amazon link, or any of the others listed, through her website will pay her directly.
All I did was link to the post that I know have links to merchants that I’m positive will provide her with compensation for your purchase and then direct people to those post on her website. The goal was to make it easy for people to find and know which ones will help. The exception is UtahCoupons.com; unlike the other merchants such as Amazon and Walmart, I’m in control of Utah Coupons and able to track the sales and report back to our reader community and her. Hopefully that makes sense. 🙂

November 23, 2016 at 12:19 amI LOVE that you did this post!
I just want to make sure I understand…even though you put it in red and bold. If we click on the Amazon link that you listed, it takes us to her page with Legos. We then click on the amazon link in her post, it takes us to Amazon. Now if we don’t want to buy the Legos but we’re now on Amazon’s site, we can browse anything and it will it give her credit for any purchases made?

November 23, 2016 at 6:59 amHi Nettie. I’m sorry to be vague, but due to my own affiliations with these companies, I’m unable contractually to answer questions about the specific merchants. Any visit you make to the Utah Deal Diva website will help. That’s the best I can offer. 🙂

November 21, 2016 at 4:04 pmThank you for sharing this. I do have a question- as far as the commission works is it based on the amount of $ spent or the number of times something is purchased through her link? Does that make sense?
Joani says
November 21, 2016 at 5:37 pmHi Ashley. Each affiliate works differently. Due to legalities of the contracts I’m not allowed to disclose any specific information like that. Purchasing anything on your gift list that you would have normally purchased is the best I can offer. Hopefully that helps 🙂
