Last night, while watching the Academy Awards, I saw that Jennifer Lawrence (from Hunger Games) was up for a Best Actress award for playing the lead role in Joy, also staring Robert DeNiro. Did anyone see this movie? It's a story inspired by a real woman, Joy Mangano, who grew up in hard times and reached rock bottom financially, then came back by inventing an easy to wring mop.
While I haven't seen the movie Joy or used the Joy Mangano mop (it's poorly reviewed, does anyone have one?), I do have a closet full of her Huggable Hangers. They save space and even my hubby's big & tall shirts stay on the hanger. These hangers make it easy to have the OCD closet I love without all the work of constantly readjusting my clothes. Plus, the design makes for no more sweater bumps.
This morning I notice that Target is running an online special for these and various other home items. When you purchase $25 worth of select home items, you'll get a $5 Target gift card back. Must enter code STORAGE to get the gift card. Even better, the hangers are on sale for $6.99 for 10 (reg. $8.99). I just picked up a few more for my closet and thought I'd share.
Here's what I did:
Buy (3) Huggable Hangers, (Black, White, Teal, Pink or Purple) $6.99 ($20.97)
Buy (1) 10pc Ultra Slim Clips $6.29 (you'll want these if you like to hang your skirts or pants from a clip style hanger)
Pay $27.26 (Red Card holders pay $25.90)
Get back a $5.00 Target Gift card
Final cost as low as $0.52 each item.
On a side note, I do have the Fashion Accessory hanger as well. I thought it would be great for scarves, but it turns out I'm not a fan of it. It took up too much space on my closet bar and I found it awkward, plus you can't use if with infinity scarves. Also, be wary of the off brand (around .72¢ each hanger at Walmart), I found them less sturdy. Remember, to enter the code STORAGE to get the gift card. All the items included in the STORAGE promo code sale can be found here.
