SALT LAKE CITY - Ballet West's Cinderella is scheduled to premiere on February 9 at the Capitol Theatre in Salt Lake.
With an exuberant score from Prokofiev, a kindly Fairy Godmother, a couple of comical stepsisters, a dashing prince and a dreamy Cinderella herself, Ballet West's rendition of the beloved fairy tale conjures up some true magic of its own at Salt Lake's Capitol Theatre. Romance and comedy abound in Sir Frederick Ashton's enchanting take on this classic, which Ballet West's Artistic Director Adam Sklute first brought to Utah in 2013 -- making it only the second company in the U.S. to stage this sparkling work since its debut in 1948.
There’s a 20-minute intermission, and a pre-show “Warm Up” discussion with a member of the artistic staff, beginning one hour prior to show time.
This production is recommended for those 8 and older.
