On July 18th, 2012 Jos. A Bank sent their email and mobile phone subscribers (that's me) a $20 off $20 coupon with an option to Forward to a Friend (that's you). View the original post here.
Apparently they didn't think this promotion through, and were not prepared for how many would share the coupon, as many websites were encouraging the coupon could be used to get free ties, they unfortunately have had no choice but to refuse to honor the coupon. If you were planning on using this coupon it will not be honored, even if you are an original email subscriber.
Visit their Facebook page for more information.
I enjoy shopping at Jos A Bank they have very nice, high quality clothing. I would encourage you to remember that this is not the fault of their employee's but rather a marketing idea gone bad. It appears that they may send out individual replacement coupons that can not be shared or the new coupon may have a purchase requirement. If you enjoy this store, you may want to sign-up for their email alerts.
